The Range Rover Velar and the Range Rover are offered with several powertrains. The Range Rover Velar's most powerful engine is a mild-hybrid, turbo inline-six engine that produces 395 horsepower. All of the Range Rover Velar's trims have standard all-wheel drive as well as an eight-speed auto transmission. The Range Rover's top engine is a turbo V8, 4.4-liter unit that puts out 606 horsepower. It has the same transmission and drivetrain as the Range Rover Velar for each of its trim levels.

Appearance

The stunning Range Rover Velar has a modern design with subtle angles over the profile and across the sides. At the front, the squared-off grille pairs with rectangular LED headlights accented on two sides by a bold ribbon of light. Below the lights, horizontal crossbars complete the look. The Range Rover is a larger model with light pinstripes across the sides. At the front, the Range Rover has a larger version of the Velar's grille and adds a rectangular LED accent in the headlights.
