2024 Defender vs 2023 Defender

Serving Union City, GA

The Land Rover Defender is the ultimate SUV that bridges luxury and off-road capability. It is available in two-wheelbase sizes, three rows of seating, and five trim levels. Between the 2023 and 2024 model years, the Defender has benefited from several notable updates. You can rely on our Land Rover South Atlanta sales associates to help you explore the latest improvements.

Performance

There are five powertrains available for the 2023 and 2024 Defender crossovers. The entry-level powertrain is a 296-horsepower, 2.0-liter turbo, four-cylinder engine with eight-speed auto transmission, a two-speed transfer case, and four-wheel drive. A mid-level engine is a mild-hybrid and turbo V6, 3.0-liter system good for 296 horsepower. Two other mid-level powertrains are a 395-horsepower V6 engine and a 493-horsepower, supercharged V8 engine. The most powerful engine is a 518-horsepower V8 system.

Appearance

One of the updates to the 2024 Defender is the debut of the Outbound trim level for the Defender 130, which is the long wheelbase option. The new Outbound stands apart because it deletes the rear-side windows and allows for greater customization across the exterior. The Defender 110 has the shorter wheelbase and is now available with the Country Exterior package. This adds two-tone paint, illuminated door sills, and a new design for the 20-inch wheels. Otherwise, the 2024 Defender is comparable to the 2023 model year on the exterior. The Defender has a fascinating look with an upright, boxy cabin and a rectangular theme across the nose. However, the rectangular LED headlights stand out with a half-moon LED bar.

Features

Across all trims, the 2023 and 2024 Defender are remarkably equipped with many refined features. Some of these are a faux-suede steering wheel, a heated windshield, a 110-volt power outlet, a Meridian audio system with 15 speakers, a tri-zone auto climate control system, a digital rearview mirror, leather upholstery, heated seats for all rows, cooled front seats, a head-up display screen, a traffic sign reader, adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 11.4-inch touch display screen, forward collision mitigation, a wireless charging station and others.
