Serving Union City, GA

Land Rover SUVs are strongly engineered to take you down the road and off-road in luxury. The 2023 Land Rover Defender is a two-row model with solid performance and exceptional features in an overall desirable body style. The Defender may be compared to the Land Rover, a larger model with a third row of seats in the cabin. At Land Rover South Atlanta, we will happily support you as you compare these elite SUVs in full detail.

Performance

For the 2023 Land Rover Defender, four engines are available. The options start with a 296-horsepower turbo four-cylinder system and a 296-horsepower, mild-hybrid turbo six-cylinder engine. The other two powertrains are an upgraded, mild-hybrid V6 system that generates 395 horsepower and a 518-horsepower, supercharged V8. Depending on the trim, the Defender could also come with an electronic differential, torque vectoring, an adaptive air suspension, a two-speed transfer case, and other gear. In comparison, the 2023 Land Rover Discovery is offered with two engines. These include the same 296-horsepower engine the Defender offers and a mild-hybrid turbo V6 that delivers 355 horsepower. All-wheel drive, an auto eight-speed transmission, an adaptive air suspension, and low-range gearing are also available in the 2023 Discovery.

Appearance

The 2023 Defender has a confident, modern look with a tall, boxy profile and smooth sides. Black molding lines the lower perimeter and accents the air vent near the front fender. The grille has a body-colored, grid-style design. It pairs with rectangular headlights that are designed with a U-shaped LED ribbon. The 2023 Discovery is also boxy, but its nose is slightly angled and curved. You will find impressive contouring, black molding, and a curved air vent on the sides. This Discovery SUV's nose has an aggressive quality with a small, rectangular grille that sits over a downturned, black vent. This unit Is flanked by tall accents that feature stacked, horizontal accents. The headlights are wider than the headlights on the Defender, and the dipping LED ribbon is stretched.

Features

While most of the Defender SUV's trims are only offered with a two-row configuration, one trim has an optional third row. Across the trims, the Defender may be available with a refrigerated console bin, a waterproof activity key bracelet, a heated windshield, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, a tri-zone climate control system, leather material, a head-up display, a Meridian sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and many additional features. The 2023 Land Rover Discovery has some of these same features. It also has a four-zone climate management system with air purification, power-folding functions for the second and third rows, a heated third row, a front sunroof with a rear glass roof, and other high-end features.
