Serving Atlanta, GA

The Land Rover SUV line has rightfully drawn ample attention from Atlanta’s SUV shoppers over the last few decades, and it understandably has your full attention today. At Land Rover South Atlanta, our customers often ask about the differences between the Land Rover Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. These are both smaller options in the lineup, and they are loaded with advanced features. What should you know about them before you pick out your next SUV?

Under the hood of the Land Rover Discovery Sport, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 246 horsepower. It is linked with a nine-speed auto transmission and all-wheel drive. This model also comes with several off-road driving modes for enhanced performance functionality. The 2022 Range Rover Evoque is available with the same powertrain, drivetrain and transmission as you will find in the Discovery Sport, but it does not have all of the Discovery Sport SUV’s driving modes.

Both of these premium models have relatively smooth surfaces with a flat, angled roof. The Discovery Sport for 2022 adds a rectangular grille, a double element in the headlights, and lower-body definition on the sides. The Evoque has a rectangular grille, but it is shorter in height. It also has a geometrically-inspired LED light bar running through the headlights. The sides add a pinstripe accent that angles across the top portion of the door panels. Both vehicles come with 18-inch wheels, heated side mirrors, a sunroof, and other exterior gear.

There are several differences in standard and available features through the trim lineups for the Discovery Sport and the Range Rover Evoque. The Discovery Sport SUV’s entry-level trim comes with faux or authentic leather material, a 10-inch digital display screen, a 7-inch digital driver’s panel, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and other gear. The Evoque SUV’s base features are leather material, a push-button starter, a 10-inch touch display screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a navigation system, and more.
