The Range Rover Velar is slotted between the Range Rover Evoque and the Range Rover Sport in the lineup, and this midsize SUV is revamped with fresh styling and features in the 2024 model year. While the 2024 Range Rover Velar maintains its smooth, sophisticated surfaces and bold profile, it introduces an updated front end and rear bumper. The grille sports a rectangular mesh pattern, and this trend carries over to the headlights. The headlights show off a trio of rectangular bulbs, underscored by a zagging LED bar. The lower fascia is also improved with an A-frame bumper and slanted air vents featuring horizontal bar accents. Exterior features on the 2024 Range Rover Velar may include a panoramic sunroof, heated and power-folding mirrors, up to 21-inch wheels, gesture control for the power liftgate, a heated windshield, and others.
Inside, a single screen has replaced two screens mounted in the center of the 2023 Range Rover Velar's dashboard. This screen displays the updated Pivi Pro system. The base trim level is smartly outfitted with a 12-speaker Meridian audio system, heated front seats, leather upholstery, driver's memory settings, an integrated navigation system, and others. Higher trims may include synthetic suede upholstery, a head-up display, and a more advanced sound system. Safety tech for all 2024 Range Rover Velar trims includes blind-spot intervention, parking sensors, lane keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
The three powertrains available for the 2024 Range Rover Velar are unchanged. The base S trim level features a 2.0-liter turbo, inline-four, 247-horsepower gas engine. The R-Dynamic S trim continues to have a 3.0-liter turbo, inline-six, 335-horsepower system. The top HST trim has an upgraded version of this inline-six engine for 395 horsepower. These systems all have all-wheel drive and an eight-speed auto transmission. The HST trim also has adaptive dampers with an air suspension system for enhanced handling.
