The impressive Range Rover Velar is in the middle of the Land Rover lineup, perfectly combining robust capabilities and power with a confident, flowing style. This premium model debuted in 2018, and the 2023 Velar boasts a few updates compared to the previous model year. The trim lineup has been revised with the base S trim, followed by the R-Dynamic S and the HST. As you fully get to know the Velar, a great place to focus your search is the mid-level trim.
The 2023 Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic S has an updated turbo 2.0-liter, I-4 gas engine generating 247 horsepower. An optional turbo 3.0-liter I-6 engine that produces 335 horsepower is also available. The update to the four-cylinder engine is the only significant improvement to the R-Dynamic S trim this year. All-wheel drive and eight-speed auto transmission are standard. The Dynamic Handling package is optional, and it gives you off-road driving modes, adaptive dampers, and an air suspension system.
The exterior of the Range Rover Velar has a sophisticated, contemporary look with a long, angled roof line and a tall, curved nose. The sides taper slightly as they approach the rear and are accompanied by a long, slender air vent close to the front fender. The front of the Velar is decidedly athletic, with a rectangular theme through the black grille and LED headlights. The air vents feature horizontal accents for a powerful touch. The Velar R-Dynamic S boasts 19-inch, satin gray wheels and upgraded bumpers.
The Velar R-Dynamic S is equipped with the same cabin and safety features offered with the base S trim, and it adds special interior badging. Its features are a panoramic sunroof, a Meridian sound system with 12 speakers, an integrated navigation system, leather upholstery, a two-zone auto climate control system, driver's memory controls, heated front seats, an 11.4-inch central display screen and connections for smart devices. Standard driver's aids include blind-spot intervention, parking sensors, lane-keeping assistance, and adaptive cruise control.
