The Range Rover Sport is the prestigious yet athletic compact crossover SUV that has what it takes to wow you. This luxurious model ventured into its second generation in 2014. While the 2020 Range Rover Sport continues to be included in the second generation, it shows off extensive upgrades and improvements to elevate your driving experience. The primary differences are found under the hood. For example, a plug-in hybrid engine will be available for the first time in 2020. This is a turbo 2.0-liter I-4 engine paired with an electric motor, producing 398 net horsepower. An inline-six engine debuted in the middle of the 2019 model year, and it continues to be available. This is a 355-horsepower unit that comes with mild hybrid technology for superior performance. In the HST trim level for 2020, this same V6 engine produces 395 horsepower.
The exterior style of the Range Rover Sport is unchanged. It continues to have the same extended, swooping profile and pinstripe accents on the sides. The nose shows off a long, rectangular grille that is perfectly integrated with geometric LED headlights. The style remains the same on the interior, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have become standard for the first time. The interior design shows off a layered dashboard with an embedded touch display screen and a reclining center stack. Other features that continue to be available in the Range Rover Sport are an auto climate control system, heated seats, a push-button ignition, a navigation system, leather material, and more.
